May 30 memorial day, and weekend

just finished sending the expense reports.

yesterday finished booking the hotels in knoxville and Nashville, got to see how it is going to go with the visit to the city of music, jazz, country ....

was a very hectic week, starting with waking up last monday at 2 am and getting on the 6am flight to st louis. bumby ride with lots of turbulance. only to know latter about all the tornado activity around the Missouri state area. St louis been the main city.

was able to check into the hotel but was not able to catch up on my sleep, excited and uncertainity of meeting the team, new project with all the clients people. And around afternoon steve asked me to meet them at the car rental and from there we went directly to the st louise mtr location.

was nice to meet all the new people.
good team. next day tuesday the 24th went live there without much hassels and than stv asked me to go with kyl to champaign in Illinois. chak ri told me that he used to be there or it was like his second home. then on returning to the hotel we were told that the power was off cause of the tornado. and were expecting more tornado.
wed morning of 25 me and kyl start of towards champaign and it was a pleasent exp taking to him and telling him about india and showed him dads house. After that he got a different view about india. not like what he saw in slum dog mill.

we kink of bonded well. was nice to know about his growing up in the farm and his small town in wiscosin.

in the evening was planning on hitting the salsa recommended by chak ri ,, but as soon as we got into the lobby, the tornado sirens started blowing and the hotel staff asked every one to come out of their rooms and stay put in the lobby and to run into the wash room as they do not have a basement when things get bad.

it was scary with all the tornado warning on TV and watching the worst and expecting the worst case scenario. but luckiely nothing bad happened just a mild touch down of one tornado a few blocks away.

Next day we went live at the location more successfully than stv at the st louis.

then in the evening me and kyl wen to a steak house and I had the unique exp of cooking my own steak , wow. now I know to cook a steak. chheers

next day we woke up early and at 7:am headed back to st louis, stv and kyl had to catch a plane at 1pm and I had mine at 8pm in the evening.
offered to drive when kyle had a conf call to make about the proj. reached st louis about 10:25am. now I have like 10 hrs to kill before getting on to my flight. ahhhh no internet and just wating at the airport watching all the different people pass by.

was not able to eat anything as nothing was around. the map showed that there was a burger king inside. but when I was at last able to enter around 4pm burger king was closed for renovation. so got into the chilles and had qusedias with beer. glad that its an expense paid project. or I might get screwed.
But atleast now I have a job for the next 4 weeks.

July 13th was my last day at cog. they had given the 1 month notice. luckily this turned up.
now the lease is coming to an end for the apt too, do I extend the lease or do I move to another apt? which is cheaper by 500 dollars but needs a 3 month lease. but then it would mean changing the address at all the places, getting new car registration,,,,, then moving everything that I have to the new apt.... feels like a big hassle when I think of it.

Was not sure if these people would require me for next week.. but kyl was kind enough to let me know about the itinerary and so it knoxvile and nashvile.. in tennesse.

over the weekend booked the flight and room.

had gone for a hike about 8 miles with syd and group and was so tired that just got drunk on kingfisehr beer , watched the football match in europe and fell asleep after that.

sunday was another lazy day, but went and got biriyani from the paki restaurant almost in new jersey.
was feeling stuffed with the lamb biriyani at night.

and today memorial day, getting ready for the trip again tomorrow morning 6 hrs travelling time from airport. was told new lady joining in. got to see how it goes with four people at the implementation.
