Got back late from salsa at the VanGo. Started off great and then got crowded so sat out for a long time before dancing again with Amie. She is so easy to lead and dance with. Just like Soile in Van. Very compatible.
The first person I danced with seemed to be taken by me after the bachata. Was feeling shy and locked up with the way she was staring and smiling at me after that. Liked it when she came and said bye before leaving. Flattered. :)
Just hope she does not get bored too soon.
Had up-ma for breakfast with fresh ginger tea. I am stocked for the next two days of snow.
Around afternoon was preparing to call up regarding next assignment and on cue got a call from anl chow about been ready tomorrow or day after for a live online secession.
Then called up boco and got to know that they are looking for appropriate openings for me. but to support these guys till then. So does not look like I can expect to get in there.
Went to coscto and got the buffalo style chicken pieces,, so easy to heat up a so yummy and spicey. loved it.
Also got a pack of lil hershy chocolates.

Jan 10, 1st day of paid unemployment

Woke up late after shutting down the alarm.
Had gone to bed around 4am after salsa in cuba. Phew the crowd was too big in such a small place. Was flattering to be asked to dance by so many pretty ladies. All my shyness and modesty too over and most of the times I just froze, not been sure if this was real. Very flattering from a very friendly and wonderful group of people. It was like they were all family.
So different from the Ego crowd in the cities.
Did not see even one lady say no to any guy.
Got missed call from raj about performance appraisal for year end. called him up in the morning and talked. He seemed to have problem with logging in yesterday night.
Well , wellpoint issues await me. Let me see what I could do as soon as they have the environment ready. As per anl Chowdri

Woke up late called up home and told about the expected mail.
Got working on the laundry
now to cook some upma.... yea.. babe
turned out better than expected even thou I ran out of salt and used lesser than needed.
So had it with tomato pickle and mango pickle.... MTR brand of pickles rules.

Jan 08 ,, more snow, Dosas and tapioca

More snow, just stayed home the whole day.
Called up home asked about cooking tapioca. got instructions on that, but decided to bake it in the oven.
yummm. even eating a little kind of made me feel full. Well thats a nice feel of Kerala.
Then made Dosas,,, nothing like home cooked dosas... made 5.
Its funny how people end up eating 5 to 10 dosas at home and have only one at the restaurants and feel filled up. Guess they are adding some kind of additive to make you feel full. No wonder we end up feeling hungry pretty soon after eating in the restaurant.
Then around 4 went for a walk in the heavy boots came back around 6,, legs aching with the heavy boots.
Did not feel like driving all the way to downtown for salsa.
More snow, just stayed home the whole day.

Woke up to Snow around 6am.
Had gone to bed around 3am after a night out for Salsa.
Chatted for the last time with Sweta on mrk communicator.
Saw robin making it big in bollywood. yeaaa way to go.
Went to work arounc 2:pm. guys wanted to go have coffee..
Went to the cafetria to see if I could get some sovenier. but it was closed.
I just went to the war room for my last time. came down around 3:30 and left by 4 along with raj and kris.
So that was the official last day.
Evening did not want to do driving to down town for salsa in the snow and with more snow expected.
So stayed home with a tall glass of scotch. watching internet videos.

Jan 06 Probably last day at west point

This probably going to my last working day at the west point office or mrk.
AS its forccast for snow tomorrow morning so might end up at home cause of poor driving conditions.
So maybe I will go for a run today or to salsa at the prax
Met up with aji around 12 said good bye as he was heading to nj for some meeting.
Then around 2:45 went and said bye to ajy. had tea with him and got back home for some salmon curry and rice,,, yummmm seems to be getting tastier with time. ;)

reached work around 9:30am after calling up home and getting to know the car number....
Then from work called up the call center for pw reset.
Ended up getting one guy who was speaking so fast, could not understand what he was saying.
And the fool tells me that he will only be able to proceed further if I am holding the card in my hand.
Even thou I tell him I have the number and the details, the card is in India and I am in US....ahhh so much for common sense.
End up getting angry at his foolishness and then tell him, okay I have the card in my hand.
Then he transfers the call to a lady who helps re-set the password. And then transfers the call to another person to reset the net password.
