Woke up around 11, got preparing the ginger tea with masalsa chai powder.
Called up Narayan and got to know that he brought a LED tv for $700.
got a planning board. got to see how effective it is in reminding me and keeping me focused.

Dec 18 Sat. day of rest

Woke up early and then went to sleep some more, got busy with house keeping, great word for cleaning up the house, more basically put, cleaning up the bathroom, toilets and vacuuming the house.
Called up home and spoke briefly.
Then surprisingly got a call from Kabir.
now to cook up a storm with chicken curry in coconut milk.
got salmon from costco and veggies from patel shop.
towards evening decided to go out to downtown to dance salsa. not a great night.. it was like double the number to guys than girls.

in the morning loged on around 6:30 and chated with sweta and got to download more of the online documents for on demand courses.
Then saw the mail from hari and his asking us to sign up for the online classes. sweet $735 for that. hopefully paid for by the company.
Reached work around 1 with the hope of starting KT.
but by 2 no one seems to be there ready, around 3 Sri came by for the original KT secession we had planned.
and they others were just about finishing eating their lunch.
so just decided to go off to the war room, changing the location. And everyone followed.
Asked people to open up the PPT doc that I had prepared and sent to them. ash seemed to be offended, I did not care, others got behind him and got him back again. Anyways he remained in control and did not ask unrelated questions after that as he has and had done to others in previous presentations.
I liked the way he was shut up at the Ajil meeting as the presenter Tony was not able to understand his ascent. Ash gave up asking after a few tries. Well he has to go find people who may suck up to his attantion seeking , ego maniacal side of his. Surely not going to get it pampered by me.

woke up around 5 and was on im with sweta in bangalore around 6:30am. as she had some softskill training.
Sent out mail to hari asking about the client details.
surprised to see mail from tara after a long time, was thinking about her yesterday. good to know she is doing fine and wanted to meet up for a beer or salsa. :)
Got to work around 12:30 and then got mail from mat for more KT secessions. around 2:56 for KT secesion for 2 hrs on monday. refused the meeting request and asked him what does he need KT on.
looks like he called up Aji and aji pinged me and asked me to come over to his room to discus.
on reaching there saw the reply mail with Ajit cced on it. wanting to know the nitty gritty of def files and scomm files.
Told aji that I am done with KT. and to teach him the basics of cti coding is not my job and he could go thru the document I sent him and learn from that.
latter we all ended up spending about 2 hrs debating over this and matt tries his cheap tricks of intimidating me. and sending a request for 1 hr each day from dec 21 2010 to jan 21 2011. Which officially was him crossing the boundries of respectabilty and resorting to harrasing me.
AFter composing the mail decide to wait till tomorrow to send it.
got online from home and was chatting with bachu and latter aji. sweta came online latter and helped me find doc related to CRM on demand.
Also saw msg from lubo, sent him a mail back explaining why i did not come to czech and that I never got his ph and details in valencia.

Woke up to the alarm. But decided to sleep in after taking a peek outside and seeing the sheet of white glory - snow. got to the Computer and remotely loged in to see that sweta had left for the day. Should have tried to log in at night after returning from salsa around 2.
may try to go to office in the afternoon. Should I take out my boots!!??
And it was great waking up to read something positive.

Keeping fingers crossed, lets see my trip to India gets sponsored.
dropped of car for oil change and walked to work in the snow around 1:00pm.
Gave a kt (knowledge transfer) secession to Mohan. after 1 and hslf hr he seemed not interested anymore. decided to continue on with it tomorrow.
around 4:45 went to pick up my car and was told that they changed the wiper and air filter and the total cost of oil change worked out to 64.. hmmm was living with out using the back/rear wiper. and air filter was something I usually did on my own. after labor and stuff it costed 64... thats 3 times of what it would have usually costed me.
well lesson learnt... go to the chinese shop as the other guys do.

Woke up the usual alarm of 5am.
Then tried to log in and connect with bangalore for to apprise Shwetha about the KT to mat and her role and how to control expectations.
To tell that there are certain things u can teach. logical reasoning, problem solving are all conditioned to by the process of Education over the years in Engineering. Something that non-engineering people would find difficult to understand as their thinking would be conditioned in a different way by the training they had in schools and colleges.
Towards evening decided to go out dancing at the Reef.
got in time to take the class. Lots of hot chicks there. surprising on a very cold day.
Had one really great dance with Pam, such a sweet heart warming smile.
getting back home just at the start of the exit to lansdale from the highway there seems to a pile of snow. It was funny that it only seemed to have snowed in Lansdale and not anywhere east towards Philly Where I came back driving from.

Got chating with sweta around 7am from home.
via the office network. got to work around 11:30am after having brunch.
did not feel that good going there in the afternoon.
was there for the kt for mat. went and had a talk with aji about matts expectations and that I am not here to teach him my skill and knowledge, thats something the management has to decide and help him acquire.
And especially given the way he was rude and the arrogant way he behaved towards me in the beginning. I don't feel any sense of sympathy towards him.
aprised aji about him wanting the granular level of coding information during the KT again.
