then around 1 called up Ajit and told him about the mrk laptop. Sitting on 5 laptops at home now.
The called up mal and talked to her for a few mins about her trip to Brazil.

Woke up around 5 decided to sleep as I had gone to sleep around 12 and fell asleep around 2. After the last call around 10:30pm to 11. with venu, call got disconnected and was waiting for his return call from banglore.
Woke up with call from Vivek. around 6:30 was on the call till 7:30am. then followed up the sync call , used skype. from 7:30 to 8:30.. after that since we had another call around 10:30 rushed thru the packing up and eating last nights dinner and checking out. got out around 9:45am with the receipt of bill from hotel. Cute beautiful gal was at the reception.
Got stuck on I-95 with traffic from exit 29... got to work around 10:30am got on to the call was on it till 11:30. issues with scope and ability to support from offshore.

Jan 26, Another date with Snow.

Started off around 930am from motel. reached work with out getting lost or any possibility of trouble. out of work by 2:30pm as we have a snow storm brewing and coming up from the South. Again reached motel with out getting lost.
Achivement.
Then the search for food to stock up if I am not able to get out to work.
Got some food from the food court of the Burlington mall. As soon as I got out of the mall it was snowing.. slowly made it to the motel and locked in.

driving to work from hotel on the I-95 in snowy weather, had a few close brushes of getting into fatal accident. Got shaken,, with the poor visibility and the wind screen getting iced up with water and dirt from the road from passing traffic.. driving blind for some time before getting back to my senses.

Wake up around 3am. After struggling to go to sleep around 11pm.
Start off from home around 4:20am, reach airport by 5:10, park at the long term parking and catch the shuttle to terminal E of southwest. Get in with out much hassles. boarding starts around 6:40 and we are ready for take off from PHL by 7am. Liked the service of South west. Much better attitude of the employees than that of US airways or Air Canada. so much better. The flight was not crowed. interstingly people could sit anywhere, first come first served.
Reach BOS around 8am. get the luggage in a few mins and head out, brrrr damm cold. colder than Philly as its supposed to be cold today. around 9 deg F.
Got shuttle for budget cars and got to the car pick up. seems I had double booking there. funny that could happen.
Got lost a couple of times in the weird exit layouts of boston. Had heard that its tough driving in Boston cause of the weird exits... something similar to Canada. Maybe the french sense of design.
Ended up taking the wrong exit and paid the toll for that.
Then as I was reaching the office, missed the exit again cause of the snow accumulation and not able to see the road.
Reached Bio office around 9:30 called prsd around 9:34am signed up at the reception and prsd came in around 9:45 to pick me up. Realised that we missed each other on the flight from Phl.
Met up with manas too.
Them met a malu guy don. got wraps for lunch.
got out of the work with the others by 3:30pm heading to the home stead hotel. Got lost again by missing the funny exits.,
Then took the next exit and came back in packed traffic and sun glaring from the west.
Checked into the hotel, took internet connection... got into the room and was reminded about the first day we checked into the Hotel in Seattle. same kind of room with fridge and stove. The Almond soap. Just wish that it was with someone different and unselfish and trust worthy.
Well life goes on. Atleast I did not foolishly end up marrying a cheap lying bitch like that.
Around 5:10 get into the burlington mall opposite to the hotel and walk around. there was a very beautilfully jungle themed restaurant there. with statutes of huge mushroom, monkeys and colorful parrots.
The security guy came and said no taking pics.... damm
So walked around looking and came across the food court. Was thinking hmmm don't fancy any of these stuff, maybe i need some indian stuff. And suddenly see an Indian shop there, so took two curries and rice and nan with a drink and got back the motel. again crazy way of exits and intersections ....

Then watched T20 Caribbean tourment.
Ahh now I remember , cooked Jackfruit seeds and it turned out yummy. Called up home and talked to them too.
Then made jeera water, sweet, tasted good to be drinking that water and so comforting to the intestines. :)

was not able to get out off bed after going to sleep late, late cause of catching up with off-shore mails and meeting requests I need to send so that they are on the conf call with others.... hit bed by 2 and was feeling awake till 3am atleast.
So getting up around 6 to be ready for the 7am call was a drag.

Starting off the morning with Meetings. And an onslaught of Emails. good god.
Expecting snow by night fall thou it was sunny in the day. More so because of the Low storm coming from the west. Atleast I am not driving to Bos anymore.
So tonites salsa goes for a toss with the 2nd winter snow storm of this week. Last blast came from the south, this one is coming from the West.
Feels good to be working from home. :)

Got up around 8 and ran to comp to get on to the meeting, which turned out was around 8:30am so relaxed and connected with skype.
8:45 and no one else seemed to have got on to it. So sent mail to gur singh who replied back that they were all in a Client meeting and sent me the calling number. got in around 9, just sat back and listened to them.
Booked the flight to bos with car rental and hotel.

Woke up around 3am to start off for boston. Only to find that it was snowing as expected.
Got ready and went down to the rental car to find a layer of ice on it. Like it was covered by a shell of ice. The streets and road seemed to slippy too. So decided to wait it out and see how it progresses.
Called up bangalore to talk with Swetha and then got muralis number from her. Called him up he said he would call me latter as he was in a meeting.
The sent out a mail to prasd around 5am. who called back around 7am to tell me to call off the trip.
Got mail from him regarding the meetings.
Latter during the day got call from mns. we talked for some time. gave me info to the links.
sent him info about the planned meetings as he got the invite at his client account.
Tried to call up prasd again and left a msg as I was confused as to the date I need to be in boston.
Around 4:30 went and returned the car rental. dollar 42... and the $12 I spent on filling up the tank.
Around evening got call back from prasd. said that I was not required back this week and I could come with mns on monday, asked him regarding the limit on hotel rates. said was around $100. so that was ok compared to the $50 I am used to.
Asked to send him a .xls with the rates for his approval. around 9:20pm sent him a comprehensive one that had expenses around 850 per week.

Got call in the morning frm prsd. was surprised that he thought that I was told about all this and that I was expected to report to work on 18th at Boston. wooo.
Latter on got more details and that its a short term one so don't have to move out of lansdale. 2 months of shuttling between boston and philly.
Went and got the car rented by 4:30 and picked up by 5:30pm only to see that the weather forcast says snow and ice.
Should have just booked the flight and flown there.
Dammm.
Called up younous and talked to him for 1 hr plus . Talking to him after 9 years. Even he seems to have gone thru lots of trouble and cheated by others.
has 3 kids. wonderful.

after hitting the bed late, woke up late. Now its noon. need to go to the Venkateshwara temple in the next 2 hrs.
got call from mal accidently around 12 and saw her missed call of 10:30. So got ready around 2 and reached the temple around 3:30 met up with mal and prayed for some time .
Then was surprised when she refused to eat at the canteen run by the temple.
Borrowed $20 from her to buy the lunch.
Got calls and txt msg from Younous who got my number from Renj.... too late to call him up, maybe tomorrow.

Woke up lazy late, called up home and talked for a few. mom wanted me to check out some gals profile she came across.
Ended up looking in the sadi site.
Was impressed by the prettiness of all the gals from thiya and north kerala. Wow, I could easily fall see myself falling for them if they were anywhere near here. Most of them look so gentle and heart warmingly sweet.
Then around afternoon set out to Ven temple @bridgewater. then turned around after sometime.
Talked with mal on the phone, got motivated to go to Brasils. Thou did not have a good time the past few times I went out there.
Had good time dancing Salsa, better than expected.

Woke up around 7am with the intention of getting on to the Conf call organized by anl chow.
Sent out a reply after getting back from salsa. In fact got back early with the intention of sleeping early and waking up prepared for the call.
Around 8:22 get a msg from anl chow saying that "Since we did not hear earlier from you, we did not plan it. Will setup at some other time and will let you know. Thanks""
Wow,, that was a convenient blame game. Sends me a mail after 6pm and expects me to reply immediately. Even thou he said he was going to send me a 2nd mail with the details.
I just hate it when people start playing the blame game and not taking any responsibility for their own actions.....
So now the question is if I should start looking for other avenues for employment as they do not seem to have much going on. Atleast they have a training scheduled for Feb 7. might as well take advantage of this and the pmp in the next few days.
having a splitting head ache. not able to get my self to get on the training.
maybe a vodka with juice should do some trick and then watch some Caribbean Twenty 20.

Woke up around 7:30 with not much motivation or drive. So was trying to figure out the best way to self motivate.
Resolved to cover a lot of ground on pmp as much as I can this afternoon. And only then reward myself with Salsa. ;)

still not able to get myself on to pnp. ended up reading harvard univ material... ahhh

Woke up late to the sounds of snow pough machine in the parking. A totally beautiful looking white out.
No mail from anl chow so no video secession today.
might as well relax.
Got into a interesting email exchange with anj explaining my Facebook status. and interestingly got mal's email with a longer description. looks like she is towing the line and been more accountable after my hard stand.
Don't have to put up with people taking me for granted. Great exp with E on that and in the end all the hard work and pain for nothing. Should trust my gut instincts more and be strong.
Wish I had trusted them when in Van and cut off ties to her and her selfish-self centered behavior, atleast now I know her to be a Big Liar and crooked person with zero sense of loyalty and gratitude.. Should thank the universe and god for saving me.
Got connected to Dr Pre and called up and talked for about an hr. Hearing each others voice after about 20 years. wow.
Nostalgia of talking about all our other friends and child hood from primary school, to College.

Got back late from salsa at the VanGo. Started off great and then got crowded so sat out for a long time before dancing again with Amie. She is so easy to lead and dance with. Just like Soile in Van. Very compatible.
The first person I danced with seemed to be taken by me after the bachata. Was feeling shy and locked up with the way she was staring and smiling at me after that. Liked it when she came and said bye before leaving. Flattered. :)
Just hope she does not get bored too soon.
Had up-ma for breakfast with fresh ginger tea. I am stocked for the next two days of snow.
Around afternoon was preparing to call up regarding next assignment and on cue got a call from anl chow about been ready tomorrow or day after for a live online secession.
Then called up boco and got to know that they are looking for appropriate openings for me. but to support these guys till then. So does not look like I can expect to get in there.
Went to coscto and got the buffalo style chicken pieces,, so easy to heat up a so yummy and spicey. loved it.
Also got a pack of lil hershy chocolates.

Woke up late after shutting down the alarm.
Had gone to bed around 4am after salsa in cuba. Phew the crowd was too big in such a small place. Was flattering to be asked to dance by so many pretty ladies. All my shyness and modesty too over and most of the times I just froze, not been sure if this was real. Very flattering from a very friendly and wonderful group of people. It was like they were all family.
So different from the Ego crowd in the cities.
Did not see even one lady say no to any guy.
Got missed call from raj about performance appraisal for year end. called him up in the morning and talked. He seemed to have problem with logging in yesterday night.
Well , wellpoint issues await me. Let me see what I could do as soon as they have the environment ready. As per anl Chowdri

Got working on the laundry
now to cook some upma.... yea.. babe
turned out better than expected even thou I ran out of salt and used lesser than needed.
So had it with tomato pickle and mango pickle.... MTR brand of pickles rules.
Woke up late called up home and told about the expected mail.

Jan 08 ,, more snow, Dosas and tapioca

More snow, just stayed home the whole day.
Called up home asked about cooking tapioca. got instructions on that, but decided to bake it in the oven.
yummm. even eating a little kind of made me feel full. Well thats a nice feel of Kerala.
Then made Dosas,,, nothing like home cooked dosas... made 5.
Its funny how people end up eating 5 to 10 dosas at home and have only one at the restaurants and feel filled up. Guess they are adding some kind of additive to make you feel full. No wonder we end up feeling hungry pretty soon after eating in the restaurant.
Then around 4 went for a walk in the heavy boots came back around 6,, legs aching with the heavy boots.
Did not feel like driving all the way to downtown for salsa.
More snow, just stayed home the whole day.

Woke up to Snow around 6am.
Had gone to bed around 3am after a night out for Salsa.
Chatted for the last time with Sweta on mrk communicator.
Saw robin making it big in bollywood. yeaaa way to go.
Went to work arounc 2:pm. guys wanted to go have coffee..
Went to the cafetria to see if I could get some sovenier. but it was closed.
I just went to the war room for my last time. came down around 3:30 and left by 4 along with raj and kris.
So that was the official last day.
Evening did not want to do driving to down town for salsa in the snow and with more snow expected.
So stayed home with a tall glass of scotch. watching internet videos.

Jan 06 Probably last day at west point

This probably going to my last working day at the west point office or mrk.
AS its forccast for snow tomorrow morning so might end up at home cause of poor driving conditions.
So maybe I will go for a run today or to salsa at the prax
Met up with aji around 12 said good bye as he was heading to nj for some meeting.
Then around 2:45 went and said bye to ajy. had tea with him and got back home for some salmon curry and rice,,, yummmm seems to be getting tastier with time. ;)

reached work around 9:30am after calling up home and getting to know the car number....
Then from work called up the call center for pw reset.
Ended up getting one guy who was speaking so fast, could not understand what he was saying.
And the fool tells me that he will only be able to proceed further if I am holding the card in my hand.
Even thou I tell him I have the number and the details, the card is in India and I am in US....ahhh so much for common sense.
End up getting angry at his foolishness and then tell him, okay I have the card in my hand.
Then he transfers the call to a lady who helps re-set the password. And then transfers the call to another person to reset the net password.

woke up on the couch, passed out watching stanfrd play Vteh .
got on to the call for performance apprisal.
Then around 9:15 called up hdf to know more about reset. have to call up home to know more details.
got to work around 9:45am
saw ajy who just returned after getting married in india.
seems to have had a whole lot of problems with FIL having a collapse and seriously hospitalized and then his MIL ending up having a accident and her hip getting injured.... then his own set of issues with his stomach and fever.
Got back for a late lunch and then in the evening cooked salmon curry in coconut milk.

Holiday and after having gone to bed late watching comedy mal movies. was not really up for waking up early.
Ended up missing to make the call to hdf and missed the 8pm - 930am est time.
well even the coffee I was making the traditional way see to have its own life and spilled over on to the stove..... :) well atleast its bright and sunny outside. yeaaa.. to a great day.
Lets see if I can do more of the mgmt online courses and fine tune my mind. My achievement for the past 11 days has been just 10 %... was hoping to be able to finish most of the online courses about 50 to 60hrs.
But was able to finish only 1 of 2 hrs... now wait thats more like 4 to 5 percent.... ahhhhh I am so going to atleast reach the 10percent today.

Was still thinking about the mugging and near death experience at the hands of the mugger by Venkat when he went to buy at the liquor shop in California. And the poor shop keeper getting beaten up.
Life is so fragile. one moment you are carefree and happily moving around and the next. It could all be over.
So glad that he is doing fine.
Went to temple around 2pm got laddus, tried calling up Narya, but he did not pick the phone the few times I tried to call him. So returned back with the Euro-Chocolates.
